Machinima Frag-Cup Qualifiers hosted at FraggedNation!

Calling all COD:MW2 teams! Machinima Respawn has asked FraggedNation to provide 16 teams from our XBox 360 community to compete in a massive 64 team "Frag Cup" tournament with a grand prize of $5,000 cold hard cash!
We will be taking the top 16 teams from our qualifier ladder and sending them over the Machinima to compete in this event. EVERY QUALIFYING team will receive a $200 HD Video Capture device for the XBox 360!!. On top of that, Machinima will be giving away $500 cash to each of the 4 runner-up teams when the Frag Cup has been completed.
Sign up today! Our qualifier ladder season ENDS on March 8th, 2010 - at which point we'll be taking the top 16 teams as the qualifiers for the Frag Cup.

All,
I am very pleased to announce that one member of the FraggedNation staff has just been added to the new position of Tech Team 
The role of a Tech Team member is brand new and is one way in which we try to show our appreciation of the hard work at a community support level that members put into FraggedNation on behalf of the entire FraggedNation community.
The Tech Team is responsible for the up keep the the advancement of FraggedNation through either coding or graphics. They are the behind the scene staff that make the site what we as a community see each day as we visit.
I would like to stress that there is no application available for becoming part of the Tech Team. This is a position that is only given to those that show total dedication to the advancement of the community.

Here at FN, we try to ensure that what you read on the site is both enjoyable and informative. If you are one of those talented few with a penchant for gaming and an affinity for the pen, then consider becoming an official |FN| staff writer (your first test is understanding the vocabulary in this sentence 
).
This is a great opportunity to get some major exposure for your writing, impact an active community, hone your skills, and build your resume.
We're looking for someone who can write official language for FraggedNation, but who has a unique flavor and can capture the "voice" of FN.

Promoting Prove-It! - we're giving away $100 cold hard cash!

Posted By: SwitchIn an effort to promote the Prove-It! flexible play system, FraggedNation has decided to give away $100 cold hard cash to the FIRST member to complete 20 Prove-It! matches played for credits!
Wait a second, what does this all mean?
It means that all you have to do is post a challenge via the Prove-It! system, set an amount of credits you're willing to put on the line that you'll win, and then have someone accept and play the challenge!
What do you get if I win?
Well if you WIN the match, you get ALL your credits back, PLUS all the credits your opponent put on the line! It's a way of earning money for playing the games you love, with the settings you choose!
So wait, I can make money along the way to 20 matches, and THEN you'll give me 100 MORE credits?
That's right! We're confident that once the Prove-It! system catches on, that people will really start to use and see the benefits of quick one-off matches that they can earn money playing! We're looking for the best possible way to make people aware of this powerful platform, and we figured giving away FREE MONEY is always the easiest!
As an added bonus we've decided that if the account that reaches 20 credit-based matches is a staff member who has reached at least the rank of Sgt. Major that we will throw in an additional 25 credits!

Ladder Cleanup and Tournament Announcement

About a month ago now we created a whole slew of ladders however we simply could not fill them. Of the public ladders created only the 2v2 TDM met the minimum number of participants, so we kept it alive.
We will always create ladders for competitions when the community wants something, so if you wish to see something and there are others that want it as well, please let us know.
Since the TDM filled up, we also would like to announce a one day, 2v2 TDM tournament coming in March. The date has not yet been announcement, but it will likely fall on a weekend. Since Quake America hosts Saturday night events it will also not be then. Please let us know what times might be good or bad for your teams.

Posted By: .::AX77::.Ok guys,We gonna have to come to a agreement on the time limit.Referee's are still gonna be in matches so i've created this new poll for you to vote on,This is to ensure that the ladder is fair play for everyone and try to make people move for those kills..If we can not come to agreement i will make the decision on what i think is best for the ladder..I know everyone wanted the unlimited time but due to referee's being in match we gonna have to vote on these two options..In the condition that we do not have to have referee's i will allow the unlimited time and just battle to score limit but for now this has to voted on!
10 Mintes/1000 Points=20 Kills
5 Minutes/1000 Points=20 Kills
I think the 5 minutes will get more action and make people move,with exception that maps be rotated in play to make movements from members to encourage no camping after one kill like i seen last season..

Season Changes and the Break

As some of you have noticed, this current ladder season ends on a friday, the 19th of March. There will be a 1 week break between them to reorganize yourselves, get more friends and their teams on. If you had any issues recruiting or adding your players you can resolve them, practices, etc.
Also during that time period we can have the option to change a few things, if you have anything in mind, start a poll, and we shall see how it goes.
If you need anything I will be here every day to help things in this ladder go as smooth as possible.
